Gift Giving

Can I nominate a different delivery address to send a gift directly to another recipient?

Yes you can! To do so, just ensure you select a different delivery address at checkout to your billing address.

Will the Recipient receive any notification of the gift?

No. We know the best part of gifts is the surprise of a lovely and thoughtful gift arriving. We don't send anything to the recipient other than the gift itself. Just make sure to enter your email and billing address. All we need about the recipient is their name and address for shipping.

Can I send a gift card to the recipient of my gift ?

Yes, Yellow Duck Baby have a beautiful range of unique, hand made gift cards which we include free with every order. Each product page has a field that you can write your message in, which will then be printed on the card and attached to the gift wrapping.

Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all common forms of online payment. Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, American Express, Apple Pay and AfterPay. We also accept Direct Deposit however, there are considerations you'll need to make outlined in the question below this.

How much longer will my order take to be delivered if I pay via Direct Deposit?

We do not commence work on any order until the funds are received into our bank account. Your financial institution's direct transfer terms and conditions will dictate when funds are released into our account via direct deposit. It can sometimes take up to 5 working days to clear funds, which will substantially delay the making and sending of your order.Please take this into consideration when paying via direct deposit.
PLEASE NOTE: This same situation applies if you are a Paypal customer and have a bank account (not credit card) linked to your Paypal account.

Shipping and Delivery

Can I have my gift Delivered the Next Day?

Yes! Next day delivery is available to all Metro areas, however conditions do apply. You can find more on our Next Day Delivery page.

Can I have Same Day Delivery?

Yes! We offer a same day delivery service to Melbourne Metro only. Please note, however, that this is a premium service and is priced appropriately. We encourage our corporate customers to use this delivery option if possible. Terms and conditions apply to this option. You can find more info on our Same Day Delivery page.

How much is Postage to my Area ?

Postage rates across Australia are the same. Price for shipping will change based on the shipping method however. You can view our Next Day Delivery and Same Day Delivery pages for up-to-date pricing.

How long does it take from the time I order & pay for an item until the time I receive it?

Yellow Duck Baby's staff will do their best to ensure the fast and efficient processing of your order. Once submitted, your orders are checked for correct details then immediately passed on to our creation studio.Once your gift is finished and has past our thorough inspection, it is wrapped in the appropriate gift box, tied with coordinating ribbon and carefully packaged for safe delivery. Once all address details are double checked, your parcel is ready to be sent . Yellow Duck baby has two daily delivery times - 11am and 2pm, thus ensuring your gift is sent at the earliest possible time.

If your order was made by 1pm, it will be sent out in that day's mail - regardless of delivery option. Orders placed after this time will be sent the following day.

Delivery times will adhere to Australia Post guidelines, unless sent via Want It Now courier.

If I buy more than one item, do I have to pay for postage on each item separately?

We almost always combine shipping soyou only pay postage on one item - provided they are all being delivered to the same address.

Note: If more than two large items are ordered to be delivered to the same delivery address, Yellow Duck Design Pty Ltd may ask for additional postage costs. You will be contacted by one of our friendly staff members with the additional delivery fee should this become necessary.

How will my gift be packaged?

All gifts sent out by Yellow Duck Baby Gifts are securely packaged exactly as described in each individual product description.

Note: Nappy cakes are then transferred to a courier packaging cardboard box to allow for safe delivery without any damage to the internal gift. All care and consideration is taken during the packaging process to ensure your gift arrives in the same state as when it was packaged.

What Locations do you deliver items to?

We deliver to all locations Australia wide that have a postcode. This includes hospitals, military bases and remote locations. We can also deliver to overseas locations, but you'll need to call or email us to get the appropriate delivery cost.

Do you deliver to maternity Hospitals?

Yes we do, however it is not without it's challenges. Because we are based in Melbourne, and because of the limited amount of time new mums are in hospital, Yellow Duck Baby Gifts sends all deliveries to both Melbourne and interstate-based maternity hospitals by Express Post ONLY.

If you are wanting a gift delivered to a maternity ward,we ask that you confirm with the patient how long they will remain in hospital before completing the hospital delivery address details on checkout. We know that this is a bit of a pain, especially if you want your gift to be a surprise, but it's going to greatly reduce the chance your gift will be turned away from the ward. This does happen! We want your intended recipient to get their gift when you do, so the more information we have about the delivery ward the better.

Express Post parcel deliveries are generally next business day BUT if an order is placed late in the week, the parcel may not be delivered until early the following week when the patient has already checked out. Always confirm how long the patient will remain in hospital or nominate an alternative home delivery address to be sure your gift is received by the recipient.

Please call and speak to our staff if you are unsure of any details or you wish to arrange pick up from our Melbourne ware house to you can swan in with it yourself. New mums love that just as much as having it brought in by the nurses!

Our Gifts

Do you use Australian made products in your gift range ?

Yes, we always try to source Australian made products when we can. The majority of our suppliers are Australian-based companies, but we also source a small range of products from overseas suppliers to ensure our hampers are of the best quality available.

Who designs your products ?

We do! Our dedicated little team loves coming up with new, fun hampers for Australia's babies. We enjoy what we do, and it shows. Each hamper is put together with a great deal of thought and care, completely by hand.

Customisation Options

How do I add a gift card message?

We have gorgeous baby gift cards available for free to send along with your hamper for you, simply go to "View Cart" this can be done easily by clicking on the shopping cart icon at the top of your screen, under the contents of whats in your cart (bottom Left of screen) you will see a box marked gift card message please enter your message here, once you have finished then proceed to checkout, your message will be recorded and we will send a baby gift card along with your hamper for you.

Can you create a custom made baby gift to suit my specific requirements?

Absolutely! We can create a theme or custom order for your baby/child or loved one.If you would like a gift to incorporate a particular theme, we can create the perfect gift for you with this in mind. Here are some examples of themed gifts we have thought of: Football, Soccer, Doctor, Pilot, Nurse, Postman, Fireman. Alternately, you may be after something in particular which is not a current product. Call or email us to discuss your needs further. We love doing new things!

Can I have little extra details added to my gift?

Yes we can add extra details such as Date Of Birth, Christening date, birth weight, length, big brother or sister names onto most of our gifts, depending on the size of the available embroidery area. Generally there is no extra cost for this service, since we're embroidering a name on your gift anyway. Isn't that nice of us!

Extra details can be requested in the gift card area when ordering, or you can email or phone us with the details.

Can I add Extra Items to my order?

Yes, you may add extra items to your order such as teddy's, socks, singlets, baby lotions or soaps, baby wraps etc. If you wish to select an item that is not listed in our "Little Extra's" collection,simply email or phone us with your request and we can add it to your order. (eg: gift 1 x baby bear bouquet - add a baby wrap & extra socks or a bottle of Champagne for mum)

Note: If you wish to add a bottle of bubbly to your gift please note that:

  • The 750ml bottle must be added to a gift from the $100.00 plus hamper range
  • The 350ml bottle can be added to the $50.00 plus hamper range.

LIQUOR WARNING

Under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 it is an offense:

  • To supply alcohol to a person under the age of 18 years [Penalty exceeds $6,000]
